These five stages are: planning, execution monitoring, review and evaluation.

Planning involves setting goals for the future. Planning involves defining your goals and how to get there.

Execution is the actual execution of the plans. You need to make sure they're followed by everyone involved.

Monitoring is the act of monitoring your progress towards achieving your targets. This should involve regular reviews of performance against targets and budgets.

Review events take place at each year's end. They are a chance to see if everything went smoothly during the year. If not, changes may be made to improve the performance next time around.

After the annual review, evaluation takes place. It helps to determine what worked and what didn’t. It also gives feedback on how well people did.

How To

How do you do the Kaizen method?

Kaizen means continuous improvement. The Japanese philosophy emphasizes small, incremental improvements to achieve continuous improvement. This term was created by Toyota Motor Corporation in 1950. This is a collaborative process in which people work together to improve their processes continually.

Kaizen is one of the most effective methods used in Lean Manufacturing. This concept requires employees to identify and solve problems during manufacturing before they become major issues. This will increase the quality and decrease the cost of the products.

Kaizen is about making everyone aware of the world around them. Correct any errors immediately to avoid future problems. If someone is aware of a problem at work, he/she should inform his/her manager immediately.

Kaizen is based on a few principles. Start with the end product, and then move to the beginning. If we want to improve our factory for example, we start by fixing the machines that make the final product. Then, we fix the machines that produce components and then the ones that produce raw materials. Finally, we repair the workers who are directly involved with these machines.

This method is known as kaizen because it focuses upon improving every aspect of the process step by step. Once the factory is fixed, we return to the original site and work our way back until we get there.

You need to know how to measure the effectiveness of kaizen within your business. There are many ways to tell if kaizen is effective. One of these ways is to check the number of defects found on the finished products. Another way to find out how productive your company has been since you implemented kaizen is to measure the increase in productivity.

Another way to know whether kaizen is working is to ask yourself why did you decide to implement kaizen. Did you do it because it was legal or to save money? You really believed it would make you successful?

Congratulations! Now you're ready for kaizen.
